It Must Be Wonderful

A guest post to celebrate autism awareness week: a lovely poem from a friend.

It must be wonderful in this world when everything seems logical,

To remember dates and events in an order that’s chronological.

It must be wonderful in this world to be very detail orientated,

To see such awe and wonder so beautifully exaggerated.

It must be wonderful in this world to detach from some emotion,

Just use it wise and then you’ll see the clarity amongst commotion.

It must be wonderful in this world to not care what others think,

Which our boy, is your invitation to not let your armour chink.

It must be wonderful in this world to be unconditionally dedicated,

To something that sparks your interest which is to be celebrated.

It must be wonderful in this world when honesty is what you speak,

To be able to talk so freely without having to change or tweak.

It must be wonderful in this world to have no hidden agenda,

As loyalty and integrity are no traits of the pretender.

If used in the right way, these qualities above will see you far.

Mixed in with your laugh, and kindness, you’ll be fine

Our Blue-Eyed star.

By the wonder of you
